Here it is. The initial line up for Outside Lands. And all I can say is WTF? Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas and The Dave Matthews Band for christ sakes? We’ve gone from Radiohead to Fergie. That’s definitely going to draw the wrong crowd. Too bad because the ‘opening’ bands look great – Band of Horses, Silversun Pickups, The Dead Weather (definitely interested in Jack White’s latest venture), The National, Deerhunter, The Duke Spirit.
Ah well, it’s up to you Treasure Island Music Fest. You haven’t let me down yet.

I’ll concede to Pearl Jam, but I can’t turn a blind eye to Black Eyed Peas or The Dave Matthews Band. Seriously, that’s a completely different demograhic. The other acts are top notch. Agreed!

i actually think this will make for great DAYS! I would actually love to see Pearl Jam – only saw them once years ago at Bridge School Benefit – acoustic doesn’t count. this is going to be great… all the frat-kids won’t get there until late – and we can have the park to ourselves all day. built to spill outside in the park… i’m pretty excited.
we are planning to bring the kid to his 2nd SF music fest – with the lovely Tari Lewis… maybe meet you there?
Hi Aimee! I’m sure I’ll be there one of the days, maybe not all. So we should definitely try to coordinate if you’re in town. And having been there before, I wouldn’t bring my little guy. Way too many people for me to keep track of a toddler who likes to run, run, run. I took him to Treasure Island last year and would do so again. Much smaller and more mellow….
